TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms govern Trusted Electric's Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee and all services we provide. Please review them carefully.

Effective Date: March 2026  |  Trusted Electric LLC  |  Pewaukee, WI

1 Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee — What It Covers

Trusted Electric LLC ("Trusted Electric," "we," "our") provides a Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee on all electrical installations we perform. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship directly caused by an error in our installation for as long as the original customer who contracted the work owns the property where the work was performed.

In plain language: If something goes wrong because of how we installed it — a connection we made fails, a wire we ran comes loose, a fixture we mounted has an issue due to our work — we come back and fix it at no cost to you. Period.

This guarantee applies exclusively to the quality and craftsmanship of our labor and installation methods. It does not extend to the performance, longevity, or failure of equipment, materials, fixtures, or devices — whether supplied by Trusted Electric or by the customer.

2 What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

To be clear about what falls outside our Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee:

  • Equipment or product failure — If a breaker, outlet, fixture, switch, generator, transfer switch, EV charger, or any other device fails due to a manufacturing defect, end-of-life, or normal use, that is not a workmanship issue. Those are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (see Section 3).
  • Wear and tear — Electrical components have expected lifespans. Normal degradation over time is not an installation defect.
  • Issues not caused by our work — If a problem arises from something other than how we installed it, our workmanship guarantee does not apply. This includes damage from storms, surges, pests, water, other contractors, homeowner modifications, or any external cause.

If you're unsure whether an issue is related to our workmanship, call us. We'll assess the situation and let you know — there's no charge for the diagnostic visit if it turns out to be a warranty claim.

3 Equipment & Material Warranties

All electrical devices, fixtures, panels, generators, and equipment installed by Trusted Electric are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms, duration, and claim processes vary by manufacturer and product.

Trusted Electric will assist customers with manufacturer warranty claims when applicable, including coordinating with the manufacturer and scheduling any required service visits. However, Trusted Electric does not guarantee or extend manufacturer warranty coverage and is not responsible for manufacturer warranty denials.

Customers are responsible for registering products with the manufacturer when required (e.g., Generac Mobile Link registration within 30 days of installation) to activate warranty coverage.

4 Labor Coverage on Defective Equipment

Labor required to replace defective equipment that was both supplied and installed by Trusted Electric is covered for one (1) year from the original installation date. After one year, labor for equipment replacement is billable at our standard service rates, even if the equipment itself is still under manufacturer warranty.

This labor coverage does not apply to customer-supplied equipment or to equipment that has failed due to causes outside of normal use.

5 Warranty Exclusions

The Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee and all other warranties described herein do not cover damage, failure, or issues resulting from:

  • Lightning strikes or power surges
  • Water intrusion, flooding, or moisture damage
  • Rodent, pest, or animal damage
  • Misuse, abuse, or neglect of the electrical system
  • Physical damage or impact to installed components
  • Modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by anyone other than Trusted Electric
  • Normal wear and tear or component end-of-life
  • Acts of God, natural disasters, or force majeure events
  • Failure to maintain the electrical system in accordance with standard practices
  • Changes to local, state, or national electrical codes enacted after the date of installation
  • Damage caused by the work of other trades or contractors (plumbing, HVAC, framing, etc.)
  • Customer-supplied materials, equipment, or fixtures
  • Pre-existing conditions present at the property prior to our work
  • Utility company actions, grid failures, or power quality issues originating outside the property

6 Non-Transferability

The Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee is provided exclusively to the original customer who entered into a service agreement with Trusted Electric. This warranty is non-transferable and terminates immediately upon the sale, transfer, or change of ownership of the property where the work was performed.

New property owners may contact Trusted Electric for service, but they will not be covered under the previous owner's warranty.

7 How to File a Warranty Claim

If you believe you are experiencing an issue related to our installation workmanship, follow these steps:

1

Contact Us

Call (262) 229-7754 or email info@trustedelectricco.com to report the issue.

2

We Assess

We'll schedule a diagnostic inspection within 5 business days at no charge.

3

We Resolve

If the issue is confirmed as a workmanship defect, we repair it at no cost.

We ask that issues be reported promptly upon discovery. Delayed reporting may complicate diagnosis but will not void a valid workmanship claim.

If the diagnostic inspection determines the issue is not related to our workmanship (e.g., equipment failure, external damage, or another cause listed in Section 5), Trusted Electric reserves the right to bill for the diagnostic visit and any subsequent repair work at our standard service rates. We will always communicate this to you before proceeding with billable work.

8 Customer Responsibilities

To maintain valid warranty coverage, the customer agrees to:

  • Provide reasonable access to the work area for inspection and repair. If access requires removal of non-electrical finishes (drywall, tile, cabinetry, paint, etc.), restoration of those finishes is the customer's responsibility and is not included in warranty repairs.
  • Not modify, tamper with, or have unauthorized parties perform work on electrical installations completed by Trusted Electric.
  • Register equipment with the manufacturer when required to activate product warranties.
  • Maintain the electrical system in accordance with standard residential or commercial practices.
  • Report issues promptly upon discovery.

9 Limitation of Liability

Trusted Electric's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective workmanship as described in Section 1. Our maximum aggregate liability for any and all claims arising from a given project shall not exceed the original contract price paid by the customer for the work in question.

In no event shall Trusted Electric be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of use, lost profits, business interruption, loss of data, damage to property not directly part of the electrical installation, or personal injury not caused by our gross negligence.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are sought, whether in contract, tort, warranty, strict liability, or otherwise.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Wisconsin law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10 Indemnification

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Trusted Electric LLC, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Misuse or modification of the electrical installation by the customer or third parties
  • Failure to maintain the electrical system as described in Section 8
  • Use of customer-supplied materials or equipment
  • Any claim arising from causes excluded under Section 5

11 Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising under these terms or related to work performed by Trusted Electric, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through the courts of Waukesha County, Wisconsin.

Both parties waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class arbitration related to claims under this warranty.

12 Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising under these terms shall be filed in the state or federal courts located in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, and both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

13 Modifications to These Terms

Trusted Electric reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. The terms in effect at the time of your installation govern your warranty coverage — subsequent changes do not retroactively alter coverage for completed projects.
